confirmation (n): a rite administered to baptized persons, in some churches as a sacrament for confirming and strengthening the recipient in the Christian faith.
What age is the Confirmation group?
Students begin the program in 6th grade and finish after their 8th grade year.
When and how often do we meet?
Every week on Wednesday nights, you will meet from 6:45pm-8:30pm with a bunch of other youth. The night for students officially goes from 7-8:30pm.
What do I do there?
In a small group, you get to hang out with your age group to talk about life and faith. You are led with a small crew of 6th, 7th. or 8th grade girls or guys through the night’s topic, and build unity as a group as you learn to grow deeper with each other. You gain insight together, into who God is and what this life as a Christian is all about.
What does a typical night look like?
-
7:00-7:30 Large group game and/or worship (sometimes with the high school youth)
-
7:30-7:45 Launch into the night’s topic
-
7:50-8:30 Small groups, one-on-one’s, and then all together during the last five minutes for prayer and announcements
Anything else?
Throughout the year we have events, retreats, sleepovers, etc. If you are interested, they are fun opportunities to hang out with each other and your leaders. Check out the youth calendar for upcoming events. Don't miss out!!!
