Johnson-Kitts ScholarshipThe purpose of the Johnson-Kitts Memorial Scholarship Fund is to give financial support to those who are in formal education to enter the Christian Ministry on a full-time, professional basis. Previous scholarship recipients may apply. The Johnson-Kitts Memorial Scholarship jointly honors the Rev. Marlen Johnson, Centennial’s first minister, and Dr. Harry Kitts, a charter member of Centennial and a noted agricultural educator. These scholarships have been awarded yearly since 1971. The Johnson-Kitts Memorial Scholarship Fund now includes two more awards, the Rosa Krogh Christian Education Scholarship and the Eileen Tichenor Scholarship. Each fall, applications are accepted from seminary students to be considered for this scholarship, the applicant should:
To be eligible for consideration, a completed application, plus certified transcript and three letters of reference must be returned to Centennial Church no later than November 1. The scholarships are generally awarded at morning worship at Centennial Church on the last Sunday of December. You will be notified of your award status by early December. Please plan to attend the award ceremony. In the past, scholarships have ranged from $1,000 - $2,000.
