The Gathering

“The Gathering” at Centennial United Methodist Church is part of the Centennial Care Team Ministry* and Lyngblomsten Community Senior Center.

The Gathering serves up to five seniors from our community who are experiencing early stage memory loss. The Gathering provides a safe and enjoyable place for elders who are experiencing early stage memory loss and gives respite to caregivers who desire a break. This group also gives members of Centennial United Methodist Church an opportunity to help and serve.

Staffed by dedicated volunteers who have been specially trained to understand the special needs of someone experiencing memory loss, the group meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. They meet from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Centennial to enjoy fellowship, treats and activities. The Lyngblomsten bus escorts participants and volunteers for lunch at the Lyngblomsten Community Senior Center.

The cost of The Gathering is $4 per person to cover the cost of transportation and lunch.
